Colours and Care – The Natural Way
It is that time of the year again when even adults become as unabashed as kids and indulge in the fun and vibrancy of the Holi Festival. While traditionally it was celebrated with natural dry pink color and buckets of water, today it brings loads of synthetic colors that are potentially damaging to our overall health. It makes sense to stay safe and take the precautions to ensure that your skin and hair remain as glowing and beautiful even post the festival. We at Fizzy Fern pride ourselves with the knowledge and products to help protect your skin and hair from the harshness of the colors and the damaging sun rays – read more on https://blog.feedspot.com/beauty_blogs/
Prior to Holi:
Skin Care: A day prior to the festive apply body oil that is healthy and natural, over your entire body and massage it well until absorbed by the skin. This will help to hydrate the skin, prevent it from absorbing color, and the color would be easier to wash off.
Tip: Minimize exposure to color and sun rays by wearing full sleeve and leg clothing. You could also apply some baby oil on your eyelashes to protect them.
Hair Care: Your crowning glory needs to be protected as well. A night prior to the festival, lavishly massage on hair oil with natural ingredients. This will create a protective cover while providing the nutrition your hair needs to prevent damage and drying from colors and the sun. The natural ingredients in the oil ensure that even those with a sensitive scalp can use it without fear of irritation and itchiness.
Tip: Do not let your hair loose – instead tie it up and wear a scarf or cap to prevent too much exposure to the color and sun.
Happy Holi – Step out with confidence to enjoy a fun-filled and vibrant day with your loved ones. Add a dash more of protection with an all-natural broad spectrum sunscreen. Apply it lavishly 10 to 15 minutes before stepping out.
Combating the Holi Aftermath:
Skin Care: Post the torment of colors, harsh water, and damaging sun rays, your skin would need after protection as well. Start your skin care regime with cleaners and exfoliators, and follow it up with a lavish and pampering bath using lukewarm water and natural body wash to rid your skin of all the toxins. Do remember to moisturize your body to leave the skin feeling refreshed, supple, and, healthy and pamper the delicate skin on your face with naturally enriched products to feel beautifully radiant.
Tip: Avoid using bath water that is too hot and do not use products laden with chemicals.
Hair Care: After rinsing your hair with plain lukewarm water, lavishly lather on a natural and high quality shampoo and conditioner. Leave on the shampoo for a few minutes before rinsing off well, and repeat if required. Post the wash apply conditioner starting from mid-length to the ends of your hair, leave for about five to ten minutes, and wash off thoroughly. Let your hair dry naturally.
Tip: Using too many chemical based products, heat, and combing hair while it is wet can cause severe damage to your tresses.
In Conclusion:
There is so much to rejoice about – the vibrancy of the colors, the exuberant air of fun and festivity, the traditional sweets, the pulsating music, and the laughter of loved ones – during this festival. It is a time to bond and forget the stresses and worries of life for a while. By pampering yourself with the necessary hair and skin care regimes, you would be able to enjoy the festival in the way that you should.
